This website was designed from the ground up with a heavy red theme. The author the website is for has recently written a book involving mystery and murder, and such a theme was appropriate. Most of the website is basic XHTML and CSS, but the author expressed interest in having a blog. Instead of incorporating an existing blog system into the web design, I made my own simple blogger using PHP and MySQL. The author has the ability to add and modify blog entries, as well as moderate user comments. The following services I offered or continue to offer to this website.

This design of the website is very simple yet elegant. Emphasis was put on "red vs blue" or "good vs. bad", a theme that was desired. The idea was to make it very easy for a visitor to get familiarized with the website. The main content area depends heavily on AJAX and JavaScript in order to maintain the design principles. There are only a few pages that can be visited, with much of the content loading in dynamically. The following are services I offered/continue to offer to this website.

Jones Masonry Construction

The client wanted a simple yet elegant web design for their new masonry company. I created the splash page using pictures of the company's work. The simple banner uses a brick pattern with "bulging" bricks for the links. The user gallery uses a great jQuery plugin to display photos nicely. The management page for the gallery is very intuitive. Photos can simply be dragged and dropped to rearrange them on the page. Captions can be set easily, as well as uploading and removing pictures.

Carolina Classic Boat Owners Forum

This is a community forum for those interested in the Carolina Classic line of boats. The site has evolved tremendously since its inception in 2005. It uses a professional vBulletin platform, of which I maintain with frequent upgrades. The client wanted a user boat gallery where users could upload photos of their boats. This gallery was created several years ago, but is still maintained and used. This website has undergone three major overhauls since I first brought it online in 2005. The following are services I offered/continue to offer to this website.

I created everything on this website from the design to the front and back end coding. The design was created with inspiration from the 70's generation. Iconic pictures were taken from that decade and used in a collage for the header. A dominantly orange and deep blue were used as a color scheme to make the site pop a bit. I'm a soon to be graduate of Rowan University in New Jersey, USA and will be receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science. I enjoy running this web development site to keep myself busy and to expand my knowledge of web technologies. I'm fun loving, laid back, and possess great social skills. With the constantly growing field of Computer Science in front of me, I'll always consider myself a student. However, along the way I've generated expert knowledge, capabilities, and know-how using the following:

• Javascript: I've developed two powerful Javascript plug-ins built around the popular jQuery framework. They are used to manipulate images to create a carousel effect. One of them is seen above, and the other on Rowan University's homepage.
• PHP: I've been working with PHP for over six years and have developed a great understanding and know-how of the language. During my time with the language, I've managed to code many diverse and powerful scripts. Feel free to email me for code examples.
• MySQL: PHP and MySQL form a tight bond to deliver a powerful duo in web development. I've been working with it for over six years and know the ins and outs of queries. I currently manage a popular forum (check out my portfolio) that utilizes a huge database, and have created and managed large and small ones myself.
